Paul Slattery's costless and payless carpet cleaning was born in may 1993 by a strange set of circumstances but 29 years later its a thriving business and has become a family business with good old fashioned values employing 4 generations of our family at various times. This is our driving force.

Back then it was a small one man business and in those days there was very little formal training in New Zealand in carpet cleaning. Carpet cleaners who wanted to carpet clean were often self taught with trade industry help from machinery manufacturers and chemical suppliers. There was no Youtube no Google and no NZ based formal training. CCANZ the carpet cleaning association of New Zealand was later formed as a voluntary organisation to bring in some industry regulation and support for smaller members. I was at the inaugural meeting and became a foundation member, (prob) because I believed it had a great role to play in the industry and it has done.

Three  generations of family and because we believe in a friendly personal touch every client is treated as a new friend. A friendly smile and friendly voice will greet you and Paul or his business partner Gray with 25 years+ experience in the carpet cleaning and manufacturing area will be the person you will meet on the job.one of our sons owns a retail/commercial carpet supply shop and one is a fully qualified carpet installer having had 10 years experience and exposure to carpet cleaning and all sorts of environments. in 2017 i retired and moved to papamoa beach and have a nice lifestyle after 29 years carpet cleaning and some failing health.my daughter stephanie that used to come to work in a baby car seat while i raised her in her infant years is now 25 and just finished a degree at uni  and working in psychology.Gray and the team runs the auckland operation while i still run the phone text and email enquires and are available 24/7  .this isnt just a business its a passion.we currently employ  3 family members and you can double that when we do 25 schools every year at christmas and we quite often use their partners and siblings and now their children.its a family firm always will be
